Hooks are the part of v4 worth staring at. They let logic run inside the swap itself rather than in a wrapper bolted on afterwards. That sounds like a small plumbing change. It is not — it moves the place where meaning can be attached, and this project exists to make that visible.

The hook draws. Every unit of the supply carries a 24×24 picture that lives in the contract itself — no file server, no IPFS pin, nothing to go missing later. A swap hands the hook a hash built from the layers, the colours and whoever held the position first.

That hash is the only input. A renderer reads it and returns finished artwork, so appearance is downstream of market activity: trade and a new number appears, and the number is the drawing. Nobody picks the result, including us.

Hence the name. A peg is a rule held at the point of exchange, which is what a hook is. Art is what the rule produces when you let it draw instead of merely settle. Put the two words together and the mechanism describes itself.
